The Blackadder saga represents classic UK comedy from the pen of Richard Curtis and Ben Elton. Cynical, sarcastic, egotistical and cold, Edmund (played by Rowan Atkinson) is teamed up with his simple and fatalistic man servant Baldrick (Tony Robinson), his shallow and needy companion Percy, and latterly the feeble-mindedly optimistic George (Hugh Laurie).
